Salary: £28,000-£28,500

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a newly refurbished and welcoming nursery. With thoughtfully designed, homely playrooms spread across two floors and a spacious all-weather garden, this nursery provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will take a leadership role in delivering exceptional education and care for children, guiding and inspiring a team of practitioners to achieve the highest standards. You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring that children’s well-being and development are always the top priority.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience as a nursery practitioner, with leadership responsibilities preferred.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding practices.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Passion: A genuine love for working with children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead your room team to plan, prepare, and deliver a variety of fun and stimulating activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel supported and valued.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate developmental records and sharing updates with families.
- Encourage outdoor exploration and play, making the most of the nursery’s versatile all-weather garden.
- Ensure adherence to nursery policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Mentor and support practitioners in your room, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
