Nursery Room Leader
Salary: Up to £33,000
40 hours per week
Our client, a well-established nursery, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their team. This role will involve overseeing the care and education of children within a specific room while leading and supporting a team of nursery practitioners. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity for career progression and the chance to grow within the nursery.
The nursery boasts large, spacious, and well-equipped rooms, which open onto a beautiful outdoor garden area, offering children an exceptional space for exploration and development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years or a relevant childcare qualification.
- Proven experience in a leadership or senior role within a nursery setting, with responsibilities for supervising and mentoring a team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support staff to deliver the highest standards of care.
- Solid understanding of early years education, child development, and best practices in childcare.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing, engaging environment that supports their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Leadership: Oversee the daily activities within your designated room, ensuring high-quality care and learning experiences for all children.
- Team Supervision: Mentor and guide the team of nursery practitioners, providing support and feedback to maintain a positive and productive environment.
- Curriculum Implementation: Lead the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering children’s development across all areas.
- Parent Engagement: Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and caregivers, offering regular updates and addressing any concerns.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that complies with all safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery by providing input on curriculum enhancements, team training, and operational processes.
