Senior Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

Salary: Up to £28,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

What we’re looking for

  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or higher)
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Practitioner with leadership responsibilities, showcasing the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage positively with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.

Your day to day

  • Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of practitioners, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences.
  • Activity Planning: Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong, supportive relationships with families, maintaining open communication and offering guidance to support children’s development.
  • Child Development Monitoring: Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with parents and senior staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
  • Operational Contribution: Assist with day-to-day operations, including health and safety compliance, administrative duties, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the nursery.
