Senior Healthcare Assistant – Night Shifts

Hours: Part-time or Full-time considered
Salary: £14.80 per hour

Our client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join the night shift team at their residential home, providing nursing and dementia care. The ideal candidate will have a relevant professional qualification and at least two years of experience working as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home environment.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Minimum of a Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home, with experience in dementia and nursing care.
  • Care Planning Knowledge: Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning principles for residents with dementia and nursing care needs.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently in a nursing and dementia care environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with residents and their families.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Resident Care: Provide high-quality nursing and dementia care and support to residents during the night shift.
  • Person-centred Support: Conduct effective one-to-ones for residents with dementia.
  • Daily Assistance: Assist with daily activities, personal care, and medication administration for residents with nursing needs.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement Person-Centred Care Plans for residents with dementia and nursing care requirements.
  • Resident Well-being: Ensure the well-being and safety of all residents, with a focus on dementia care.
