Senior Healthcare Assistant - NVQ/QCF Level 3
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Days or Night contracts available)
Hourly Rate: Up to £11.84, plus a 30% enhancement for night shifts and weekends

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Assistant with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care to join our client’s healthcare team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care, providing leadership to a team of healthcare assistants, and contributing to the personal development and well-being of our client’s residents.
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrable leadership skills, including supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in care work.
- Audit awareness and competencies relevant to the healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients under the supervision of medical staff.
- Care Planning: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of healthcare assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal care delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care in line with organisational policies.
- Patient Assessment: Contribute to the ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient needs, working collaboratively with medical professionals.
- Patient Support: Support and encourage the personal development, dignity, and well-being of patients.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-focused care.
