Nursery 3rd In Charge
Salary: Up to £32,000
40 hours per week
Our client’s purposely converted nursery building has been designed with the learning and development of children in mind. The light, spacious, and open-plan rooms provide a stimulating and enabling environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
As a Nursery 3rd In Charge you will play a key role in supporting the management team, ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery and upholding the highest standards of care and education.
Qualifications
- Level 3 in Early Years or Above: Essential for the role.
- Previous Experience: Experience working in a nursery, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Early Childhood Education Knowledge: Strong understanding of early childhood education and development.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide leadership and support to others.

Key Responsibilities
- Daily Nursery Operations: Assist the management team in coordinating and overseeing the daily running of the nursery.
- Staff Support and Mentoring: Support and mentor staff members, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Staff Scheduling and Development: Help with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Safe and Nurturing Environment: Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Parent and Family Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with parents, ensuring open communication and strong partnerships.
- Activity Planning: Contribute to the creation and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children.
