Hourly Rate:  Up to £13.50
40 hours per week

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join a vibrant and welcoming nursery that provides high-quality care and education. The nursery boasts spacious, purpose-designed rooms and two beautiful gardens, including a sensory garden, to support children’s exploration and development. With age-specific play areas, each child is able to grow and learn at their own pace in a safe and stimulating environment.

 

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a vital role in leading a team of practitioners and ensuring that the highest standards of care and education are delivered. You will oversee the daily running of your room, creating an engaging, nurturing environment that enables children to thrive and explore through play.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery Room Leader or in a similar leadership role within a nursery setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nursery practitioners to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate care and learning experiences.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities based on the EYFS framework, promoting curiosity, creativity, and development.
  • Ensure each child is cared for in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, allowing them to progress at their own pace.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and a high level of parental engagement.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing observations with parents.
  • Oversee the daily running of the room, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies.
