Nursery Room Leader – Level 3
Salary: Up to £30,000

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join their exceptional team. As Room Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a team of passionate early years professionals and create a positive, inspiring environment for children during their crucial early years. If you’re a Level 3 qualified practitioner with a passion for outdoor learning and a dedication to high standards, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or above is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in an early years setting, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Passion for Child Development: A strong understanding of child development and a commitment to creating engaging learning opportunities.
  • Outdoor Learning Advocate: A love for outdoor play and the ability to embrace all-weather activities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and children.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage the room’s operations efficiently, including planning activities, managing resources, and maintaining records.
  • Team Leadership: A natural leader who can inspire and motivate a team while promoting professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Inspire: Oversee the day-to-day activities in your room, providing guidance and support to a team of dedicated practitioners.
  • Create a Nurturing Environment: Ensure the room is a safe, stimulating, and inclusive space where children can flourish and reach their full potential.
  • Plan and Deliver: Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Encourage Outdoor Play: Champion the nursery’s all-season ethos by integrating outdoor play and exploration into daily activities.
  • Support and Develop Staff: Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and training to team members, fostering a collaborative and motivated working environment.
  • Build Relationships: Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring strong partnerships and open communication.
  • Maintain Standards: Uphold the nursery’s "Good" Ofsted rating by maintaining high standards of care, education, and health and safety practices.
