Level 3 Nursery Room Leader

Hourly rate of £13 - £14 per hour.

Full-time position (40 hours a week).

Our client, a well-established and supportive nursery service, is looking for a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to lead their Under 2s Room. If you’re an experienced Level 3 qualified practitioner who wants to make a real difference in a child’s early development, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

 

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will lead the care and development of children under 2, ensuring that each child receives a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment to grow and explore. You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), guiding a team, and supporting children to achieve their full potential.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally with children under 2.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A nurturing approach and passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work well within a team and take initiative when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Under 2s room, ensuring a high standard of care, safety, and learning.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor activities that align with the seven areas of learning in the EYFS.
  • Support the development and well-being of each child, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Manage and mentor a team of nursery practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
  • Ensure that all nursery policies and procedures are adhered to and maintained.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring that resources are appropriately managed.
