Salary: Up to £26,000
Our client is looking for a caring and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team. With individual teaching rooms and spacious outdoor areas, the nursery provides a vibrant and engaging environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. This setting is designed to support hands-on exploration, allowing each child to thrive.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where each child’s unique needs are met, following Montessori principles. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early years education, dedicated to providing exceptional care, and excited to inspire young learners daily.
Experience and Qualifications
- Early Years Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
- Child Development Knowledge: Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework; familiarity with Montessori principles is desirable.
- Effective Communication: Ability to engage warmly with children, parents, and colleagues, building trust and strong relationships.
- Organisational Skills: Skilled in managing tasks and ensuring that learning environments are well-organized and well-resourced.
- Commitment to Child-Centred Learning: Passionate about fostering children’s natural desire to learn and supporting their growth and independence.

Key Responsibilities

- Create an Inspiring Environment: Help set up and maintain the classroom and outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain inviting, educational, and safe.
- Collaborate with Parents and Team Members: Build strong relationships with parents, sharing updates and celebrating each child’s progress; work closely with team members to deliver cohesive and consistent care.
- Observe and Record Development: Regularly assess and document each child’s growth to ensure personalized learning paths and meet individual needs effectively.
