Head Chef – Luxury Nursing Home
Up to £40,000 | 40 Hours Per Week (Including Some Weekends)

 

Our client, a high-quality luxury nursing home, is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled culinary professional who takes pride in creating nutritious, delicious, and beautifully presented meals that enhance the well-being of older adults.

 

As the Head Chef you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences tailored to residents’ individual needs. Working closely with care teams, they will ensure that meals not only meet nutritional and dietary requirements but also provide comfort and enjoyment.

 

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised food qualification and a valid food hygiene certificate.
  • Previous experience as a chef in a nursing home or a similar care setting.
  • A strong understanding of nutrition, hydration, food allergies, and different dietary requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food with a person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare high-quality meals that accommodate various dietary needs, including modified textures, allergies, and medical conditions.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage stock, suppliers, and kitchen budgets efficiently.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with care teams to create personalised meal plans that support residents' health and well-being.
