Salary: £24,900

Our client, a well-established luxury care home, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead their dedicated kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about creating high-quality, nutritious meals for older adults in a warm and welcoming environment.

 

The Head Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring that residents enjoy delicious and well-balanced meals tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Managing a team of chefs and kitchen assistants, the successful candidate will inspire and support their colleagues while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Experience in a similar Head Chef or senior kitchen role, ideally within a care home setting or hospitality environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Passion for Cooking: A passion for cooking and a commitment to providing nutritious meals.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Menu Planning: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetising meals that cater to a range of dietary requirements.
  • Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and safety standards, complying with food hygiene regulations.
  • Stock & Budget Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage budgets effectively.
  • Collaboration with Care Teams: Work closely with care teams to adapt menus to residents' needs and preferences.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
