Chef (Care home)

Salary: Up to £27,7000

37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our client’s team and help create delicious and nutritious meals for their residents. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for a large group of people while accommodating varying dietary needs and adhering to food safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Chef, preferably within the healthcare or similar sector
• Certification in Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations (COSHH, Health & Safety, HACCP)
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and service users
• A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing meals
• Able to adapt recipes to cater to various dietary needs
• Excellent time management and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and food safety regulations
• Execute cooking and food preparation tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and service users to ensure an inclusive and positive dining experience
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Monitor inventory and order ingredients as needed
• Contribute to menu planning and development of new recipes
