Salary: £35,000

 

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for early childhood education. As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, and leading a team of childcare professionals to deliver exceptional standards of care and education.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in early childhood education.
  • Experience working within a large nursery setting or with a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Operations: Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to nursery staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and Ofsted standards, creating a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Parent Engagement: Build strong, effective relationships with parents and families, maintaining open communication and fostering trust.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to staff training and development initiatives, supporting team growth and upskilling opportunities.
