Deputy Home Manager – Residential Care
Salary: £31,000 | Full-Time

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Home Manager to join their welcoming and charming dementia-friendly care home. The home offers a peaceful, safe environment with beautiful garden areas and a bright conservatory for residents to enjoy. As the Deputy Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall operation of the care home. You will assist the Home Manager in maintaining the highest standards of care, ensuring the residents receive person-centred care that enhances their quality of life. You will lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated team, ensuring all care practices comply with regulatory standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential Qualifications: Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or above).
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar supervisory role within a residential care setting.
  • Knowledge of Dementia Care: A solid understanding of dementia care and the needs of elderly residents.
  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of CQC regulations and care quality standards.
  • Flexible Team Player: Ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team.
  • Passion for Care: A passion for improving the lives of residents and leading a team to deliver exceptional care.

Your day-to-day:

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the care home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, supervise, and develop a team of care staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Person-Centred Care: Ensure care plans are up-to-date and reflect the needs of each individual, promoting person-centred care at all times.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Monitor the delivery of care to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, CQC standards, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Staff Training & Recruitment: Support the Home Manager in recruiting, training, and retaining a skilled and motivated team.
  • Building Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
