Deputy Home Manager - Residential Care
Salary: £34,000
40 hours per week
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Home Manager to join their small residential service, dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those you care for while supporting a team to deliver outstanding care. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing or supervising teams within a care setting and a strong background in working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and challenging behaviour.
What you’ll bring:
- Qualification: Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent) and willingness to undertake a Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a care setting.
- Experience: Experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and challenging behaviour.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, DoLS, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks.
- Passion for Care: A passion for improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Your day-to-day:
- Team Leadership & Support:
Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the service, supporting and leading the care team to provide exceptional care.
Ensure effective staff management, including supervision, training, and personal development. - Care Delivery & Person-Centred Support:
Ensure the delivery of person-centred care that meets the unique needs of residents with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex care requirements.
Support residents with challenging behaviour, creating an environment that promotes dignity, respect, and independence. - Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Maintain and ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding policies, and DoLS requirements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and the needs of residents. - Operational Support:
Assist in managing budgets, resources, and rotas to ensure the service operates efficiently.
Foster strong relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals to ensure holistic, multi-disciplinary care.
