Ward Nurse Manager – Mental Health Nurse

Hourly Rate: Up to £24

37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Ward Nurse Manager to manage and lead their mental health in-patient ward. As the Ward Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a committed team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care for individuals in an inpatient mental health setting.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with:

  • A valid NMC PIN and up-to-date registration.
  • Proven leadership and clinical management experience within a healthcare setting.
  • A passion for rehabilitation and delivering person-centred care.
  • Experience in managing teams, resources, and service development (essential).
  • Experience in inpatient mental health settings (desirable but not essential).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the inpatient rehabilitation ward, ensuring person-centred care is at the forefront of all activities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Take ownership of the ward’s clinical and operational performance, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Manage resources effectively, including staffing and budgets, to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Support service development initiatives, ensuring the continued growth and improvement of the rehabilitation programme.
  • Provide training, development, and supervision to junior staff and students.
