Senior Nursery Practitioner

Level 3 Qualified | Term Time Only | £12+ per hour | 28.5–47.5 hours per week
Shift Times: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in creating a warm and engaging environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.  In this free-flow indoor-outdoor setting, you’ll encourage exploration, independence, and a love of the outdoors. From hands-on activities to fostering a sense of curiosity, your work will make a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families you support.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Passion for Outdoor Learning: A commitment to nurturing children’s love of nature and the outdoors.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire colleagues and children alike.
  • Child-centred Approach: A genuine passion for helping children develop their confidence, independence, and key life skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Child Development: Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities to support children’s learning and development across all areas of the EYFS framework.
  • Encouraging Independence: Foster independence and exploration through a free-flow indoor-outdoor learning environment.
  • Outdoor Learning: Utilize the beautiful rural setting to promote outdoor activities and a love of nature.
  • Team Leadership: Support and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality care and education are consistently provided.
  • Parent Engagement: Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
  • Safeguarding: Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
