Full-Time Hours | All Year Round
Salary: £28,000

 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Third in Charge to join our client’s team. This role is perfect for a dedicated early years professional ready to take on a leadership position while also serving as the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). You will play a vital role in supporting the nursery’s inclusion practices, ensuring all children, including those with additional needs, receive the best possible care and education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in an early years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • SENCO experience or a strong understanding of SEND support in early years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and external professionals.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to ensuring inclusivity and supporting children with additional needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Management Team in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Act as SENCO, ensuring children with additional needs receive tailored support and early intervention.
  • Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to develop and implement SEND support plans.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging, and stimulating environment where all children can thrive.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursery practitioners, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using insights to tailor individual learning experiences.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines are followed at all times.
