Salary: £32,000
Our client, a well-established and welcoming nursery, is seeking a passionate and experienced Third in Charge to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early years professional to take on a key role in supporting the nursery’s daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and education, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.

As a Third in Charge, you successful will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, ensuring the smooth running of the nursery. You will lead by example, inspiring staff, maintaining high-quality teaching and care, and building strong relationships with children and families.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
- Leadership experience within an early years setting, with the ability to support and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive nursery culture.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the leadership team in maintaining high standards of care, education, health, and safety.
- Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring a positive and effective team environment.
- Assist with staff training and development, identifying individual training needs.
- Oversee keycarer procedures, ensuring children receive tailored support.
- Help coordinate planning meetings, ensuring engaging learning experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with parents and carers, offering professional feedback.
- Step in for senior management when required, ensuring seamless nursery operations.
