Salary: £28,000 - £29,000

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of your room, leading a team, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are met. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate team, shaping the future of young children.

 

You will need to have excellent leadership skills and a passion for helping children reach their full potential. We're looking for someone who will go above and beyond, ensuring that every child has the best possible start in life.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Have proven experience in managing a room within a similar setting.
  • Be an exceptional mentor and early years practitioner.
  • Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Hold up-to-date certifications in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene.
  • Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and parents to achieve common goals.
  • Hold a valid enhanced DBS.
  • Be flexible with the working week and willing to lead by example.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Have experience working in a baby room.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Nursery Room Leader:

  • Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly checks are completed effectively in your room.
  • Monitoring accident trends and taking appropriate action.
  • Leading and managing your team, ensuring they are motivated, trained, and meeting the needs of the room.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional environment for both staff and children.
