Nursery Room Leader
Salary: Up to £26,200
Hours: 40 hours per week

 

Our client, a highly regarded nursery in Winchester, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to lead a team of practitioners and uphold the highest standards of care and education for young children. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

 

As a Nursery Room Leader you will play a key role in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), guiding and inspiring staff, and building strong partnerships with families.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a childcare setting with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of child development and EYFS principles
  • Up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding certifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain high-quality standards across the nursery room
  • Lead and supervise a team of practitioners, offering guidance and daily support
  • Effectively deploy staff to meet the needs of the room and ensure smooth operation
  • Implement the nursery’s key carer approach and allocate children appropriately
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support each child's development
  • Ensure all practice aligns with the EYFS framework and nursery policies
  • Provide professional feedback to parents and carers about their child’s progress
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment among staff
  • Develop and maintain strong, friendly, and professional relationships with families
