Nursery Third in Charge
Salary: Up to £32,000
40 hours per week
Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Nursery Third in Charge to join their team in a well-established, spacious nursery catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years. With large, bright rooms and a Good Ofsted rating, this setting provides a stimulating and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

As Third in Charge, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, working closely with the management team and leading by example. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for early years education, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a senior role within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted standards, and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A passion for providing high-quality care and education, ensuring every child reaches their full potential

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in the smooth and effective operation of the nursery
- Lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where children can learn and develop
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety policies are adhered to at all times
- Support with staff development, training, and mentoring
