Nursery Third in Charge – Pre-School Room
Salary: Up to £34,000

 

Our client, a well-established nursery providing outstanding early years education and care for children aged six months to five years, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Third in Charge to join their preschool team. This leadership role involves supporting the management team while maintaining hands-on involvement in delivering exceptional care and education to preschool-aged children.

 

The nursery boasts state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as a range of specialist-led classes such as music, dance, sport, and gardening. It is an ideal setting for fostering growth and preparing children for school readiness.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in early years or above.
  • Leadership Potential: Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursery or preschool setting.
  • Passion for Preschool Education: A deep understanding of the unique needs of preschool-aged children.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills to support and inspire the team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership Support: Assist the Room Leader and Deputy Manager in overseeing the preschool room, ensuring the team delivers the highest standards of care and education.
  • Childcare Excellence: Provide outstanding care, ensuring children feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.
  • Curriculum Planning: Create and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to the needs of preschool-aged children, preparing them for their next educational steps.
  • Team Development: Support staff members through mentoring and guidance, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Parent Engagement: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they are fully informed and engaged in their child’s development.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities align with the EYFS framework, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding policies.
