Deputy Nursery Room Leader

Salary: Up to £29,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
40 hours per week

What we’re looking for

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or higher).
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children, supporting their growth and development.

Your day-to-day

  • Support Leadership: Assist the Room Leader in supervising and guiding a team of nursery practitioners, offering mentorship and day-to-day support.
  • Activity Planning: Help plan and deliver stimulating activities aligned with the EYFS framework, tailored to different age groups to foster learning and development.
  • Family Engagement: Build positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, conducting risk assessments and adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with record-keeping, report generation, and preparation for staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in self-evaluation and assessments, contributing to the nursery’s ongoing development and quality standards.
