Deputy Nursery Manager – Lead, Inspire, and Shape Young Minds
Salary: Up to £36,000
40 hours per week

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education. You’ll play a key role in leading the team, inspiring innovation, and fostering a nurturing environment that supports children’s growth and development.

 

What we’re looking for

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is essential.
  • Demonstrated senior experience within a nursery or childcare setting, with a strong understanding of EYFS standards and Montessori principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • A creative, nurturing, and proactive approach to early years education.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to oversee all aspects of nursery operations, maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Lead and support a dedicated team of practitioners, providing mentorship, training, and guidance.
  • Develop and implement engaging, child-centred activities that align with the EYFS, Forest School, and Montessori frameworks.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that nurtures children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, acting as a trusted point of contact for communication and support.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including staffing, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Step into the Manager’s role during absences, ensuring continuity of care and management.
