Nursery Deputy Manager
Salary: £38,000
40 hours per week
Our client, a well-established nursery, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join their team. This key role will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education for young children. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a Nursery Manager role in the future.
The nursery boasts large, spacious, and well-equipped rooms, which open onto a beautiful outdoor garden area, providing an excellent environment for children's exploration and development.
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years.
- Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery setting, with leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Solid knowledge of early years education, child development, and best practices in childcare.
- Passion for creating a nurturing environment that supports children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Staff Leadership: Mentor and support nursery staff, maintaining high standards of care and education across all areas of the nursery.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all children.
- Parent Engagement: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, offering guidance and updates on their child’s progress.
- Compliance: Ensure that all nursery policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are consistently adhered to.
- Team Development: Support the professional growth of the team, offering leadership and mentorship, while working towards the potential to transition into the Nursery Manager role.
