£26,000 per annum | 35 hours per week
Are you a talented Chef looking for a fulfilling role in a stunning and tranquil environment? Our client, a beautiful care home is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join their team, where great food, nutrition, and resident satisfaction are top priorities.
As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing fresh, nutritious meals that cater to residents’ dietary needs and preferences. You will oversee menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
What We’re Looking For
- Culinary Experience – Previous experience as a Chef, ideally in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Cooking Expertise – Strong knowledge of various cuisines and dietary needs, with excellent cooking techniques.
- Health & Safety Awareness – Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Relevant Certifications – Qualification in Food Preparation/Catering and a Food Hygiene Certification.
- Organized & Adaptable – Strong time management, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility – Willing to work weekends and holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development – Design and prepare well-balanced, visually appealing meals tailored to residents’ dietary requirements.
- Stock & Cost Control – Manage food inventory, place orders, and ensure efficient budget use.
- Food Safety & Hygiene – Maintain a spotless, organized kitchen while complying with all food safety regulations.
- Team Support – Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff for smooth daily operations.
- Resident Engagement – Foster positive relationships with residents and respond to their feedback on meals.
