Specialist Dietitian – Band 7 (Mental Health Focus)

Up to £50,000 | Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday

Our client, a leading provider of specialist care, is seeking an experienced and passionate Band 7 Dietitian to join their multidisciplinary team in a unit dedicated to supporting patients with complex mental health conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a collaborative and supportive environment, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

 

As a Specialist Dietitian, you provide expert dietary care to individuals with a range of complex needs. Your work will be rooted in collaboration with service users, ensuring individualised plans are evidence-based and aligned with each person’s unique needs and goals.

 

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • Qualifications: A degree or postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Dietetics.
  • Professional Registration: HCPC registration and BDA membership.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience at Band 6 level, preferably in mental health or inpatient/acute settings.
  • Teamwork: Enthusiasm for collaboration and a genuine desire to support others.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Personalised Care: Delivering tailored dietary care to service users in both individual and group settings.
  • Managing Complex Needs: Addressing a range of challenges, including mental health and personality disorders.
  • Holistic Collaboration: Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a patient-focused approach.
  • Behaviour Change Support: Assisting service users with strategies like motivational interviewing.
  • Service Development: Contributing to the continuous improvement of Dietetic services within the organisation.
