Band 5 – Mental Health Nurse

Salary: Up to £37,000

37.5 hours per week

Our client provides specialist high-dependency rehabilitation services to adults with a range of mental health conditions. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care, ensuring that patients receive holistic and personalised treatment tailored to their specific needs. Qualifications & Skills:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of mental health conditions and treatments, with the ability to provide evidence-based care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Care Planning: Assess and plan nursing care for adult males with varying mental health conditions, ensuring individual needs are met with a personalized approach.
  • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with care plans, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver holistic, person-centred care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.
  • Family Support & Education: Provide support and guidance to patients and their families, educating them about mental health conditions and treatment options to promote understanding and recovery.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Continuously monitor patient progress, adjust care plans accordingly, and provide ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Therapeutic Environment: Ensure a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for all patients, promoting dignity and respect at all times.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
