Job description
Band 5 Nurse - Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse
38.5 hours per week (days and/or nights)
Up to £46,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Please note that our client DOES NOT offer Tier 2 sponsorship
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse / Learning Disability Nurse (Band 5) to join our client’s dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions following from an acquired brain injury, promoting their well-being and independence.
Qualifications
- NMC registration (UK)
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) qualification
- Good understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Strong empathy, patience, and understanding towards individuals

Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver individualized care and treatment plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals
- Support and educate individuals, their families, and caregivers on mental health and learning disability issues
- Advocate for individuals' rights and contribute to the improvement of mental health services
