Band 5 Nurse - Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse

38.5 hours per week (days and/or nights)

Up to £46,000 per annum dependent on experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse / Learning Disability Nurse (Band 5) to join our client’s dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions following from an acquired brain injury, promoting their well-being and independence.

 

Qualifications

  • NMC registration (UK)
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) qualification
  • Good understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Strong empathy, patience, and understanding towards individuals

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver individualized care and treatment plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals
  • Support and educate individuals, their families, and caregivers on mental health and learning disability issues
  • Advocate for individuals' rights and contribute to the improvement of mental health services
