Staff Nurse (RGN)

Hourly Rate: £23, plus paid breaks

Night Shifts, 24 hours per week

Set shifts, Friday-Saturday

As a Night Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our client’s residents during the night. You will be responsible for overseeing the well-being of our client’s residents, administering medication, and responding to any medical emergencies that may arise.

 

This role will be full-time with set shifts during the night - Thursday through to Sunday. 

 

The home is currently working towards GSF (Gold Standards Framework) 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • NMC Registration: Valid UK NMC registration and a nursing qualification (RGN/Registered General Nurse).
  • Clinical Expertise: Solid understanding of up-to-date clinical practices and the ability to apply them effectively in a night-time care setting.
  • Care Documentation: Experience in writing detailed care plans, risk assessments, and diet plans, demonstrating a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Teamwork & Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide round-the-clock nursing care, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and addressing immediate medical needs.
  • Care Coordination: Work closely with daytime nursing staff to communicate any changes in a patient's condition and ensure continuity of care.
  • Record Keeping: Document all patient interactions, interventions, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper functioning of medical equipment.
