Staff Nurse (Day Shifts) – Maternity Cover
Hourly Rate: Up to £21
36 hours per week
Are you an experienced and dedicated nurse passionate about delivering exceptional care? Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Nurse for day shifts to join their team on a maternity cover basis. Set in acres of peaceful landscape, this nursing home holds a good CQC rating and is committed to fostering a warm, supportive, and home-like atmosphere for both residents and staff.
In this role, you will ensure the delivery of person-centred, high-quality care to their residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who finds meaning in working with the elderly and has a solid foundation in general nursing. You'll play a key part in maintaining a welcoming environment and supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current, valid UK NMC registration.
- Previous experience in elderly care, within a nursing home environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and dedication to providing the highest standard of care
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the wider care team
- A commitment to upholding the core values of dignity, respect, and quality in elderly care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Exceptional Care: Provide compassionate, individualised care for residents, in line with personalized care plans and best practices in elderly nursing.
- Health Monitoring & Medication Management: Observe and assess residents' health conditions, administer medication, and liaise with healthcare professionals to optimize health outcomes.
- Supportive Leadership: Guide and mentor care staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful workplace where everyone is empowered to excel.
- Record-Keeping & Communication: Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the wider healthcare team.
