Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus Scheme
Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Our client, a children’s residential service, is dedicated to supporting a small number of young people with complex emotions and behaviours that challenge. They are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead their home, ensuring a safe, stable, and supportive environment where children can thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled leader to manage a home that truly makes a difference. As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations, and maintaining high standards of care. You will lead a dedicated team to provide a supportive and therapeutic setting that empowers young people to reach their full potential.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant Qualification – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare) – Essential.
- Proven Experience – At least 2 years’ experience managing an OFSTED-registered home with a GOOD or better rating.
- Specialist Knowledge – Strong understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
- Legislative Expertise – In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, including the Children’s Act 1989 & 2004.
- Driving Licence – A full UK driving licence is required.
- Passionate Leadership – A leader with compassion, resilience, and a commitment to improving young lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure OFSTED Compliance – Lead and manage the home to maintain or exceed a GOOD OFSTED rating.
- Regulatory Adherence – Ensure compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, and other relevant legislation.
- Champion Child-Centred Care – Provide a child-focused approach that prioritises safety, well-being, and positive outcomes.
- Develop & Support Staff – Supervise, mentor, and develop a team to deliver high-quality care and professional growth.
- Manage Budgets & Operations – Oversee policies, procedures, and financial resources for smooth service delivery.
- Engage with Stakeholders – Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and regulatory bodies to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
