Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Hourly Rate: Up to £21

37.5 hours per week

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's team, providing exceptional care and support in a small mental health service. The service is committed to offering high-quality, safe, and person-centred care, focused on promoting choice, dignity, control, and quality of life for all service users.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dedicated, and experienced in working with individuals with mental health conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of service users, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in a nurturing and respectful environment.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualification: Nursing qualification (Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)) and a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in mental health care, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of mental health conditions, care pathways, and treatment options.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build meaningful relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Values: A compassionate and empathetic approach to care, aligned with the service’s commitment to promoting choice, dignity, control, and quality of life for all service users.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to each service user’s mental health needs.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications and monitor their effects, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Therapeutic Support: Provide therapeutic interventions and counselling to service users and their families.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and integrated care.
  • Advocacy and Education: Advocate for service users’ rights and promote mental health awareness and education within the service and wider community.
