Nursery Room Leader (Level 3)
Salary: Up to £26,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, all year round

 

Our client, a welcoming and supportive nursery, is looking for an experienced Level 3 Nursery Room Leader to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is ready to take on a leadership role and provide high-quality care and education in an environment that promotes growth, development, and career progression.

 

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Essential Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Experience in Early Years Care: Proven experience working in an early years setting with a strong track record of working with children.
  • Leadership Skills: Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery, or the potential and ambition to take on more responsibility.
  • Knowledge of EYFS: Strong understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework and how to implement it effectively in daily practice.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for Child Development: A positive, proactive approach with a commitment to supporting children’s growth and development.
  • Team Leadership & Flexibility: Ability to lead a team, collaborate effectively, and adapt to the needs of the nursery.

Your Role

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team within your room, ensuring high standards of care and education. Your duties will include:

  • Leading a Team: Leading and motivating a team of nursery practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education.
  • Planning and Delivering Activities: Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that support children’s development, creativity, and learning.
  • Observing and Assessing Progress: Observing and assessing children’s progress, creating and reviewing individual development plans.
  • Supporting Children’s Routines: Encouraging children’s independence and supporting them in their daily activities and routines.
  • Building Strong Relationships: Developing positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a nurturing and welcoming environment.
  • Maintaining a Safe and Stimulating Environment: Overseeing a safe, clean, and stimulating room environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with the Team: Working closely with the nursery team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and share best practices.
