Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Job description
Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Salary: £25,500 – £26,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Full-Time Hours
Our client is looking for a warm, motivated, and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly and supportive early years team in Gloucester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner who is passionate about giving children the very best start in life. You’ll be working in a well-resourced, inclusive nursery setting where creativity, play, and curiosity are at the heart of everything they do.
As a key member of the team, you’ll help create a safe, stimulating environment where children feel secure, nurtured, and inspired to explore and learn. You’ll support each child’s development in line with the EYFS framework and contribute to a culture that values every voice — child, parent, and colleague alike.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring positivity, reliability, and a child-centred approach to their practice. You will need:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (essential)
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a nursery or early years setting
- A sound understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding practices, and child development
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use initiative when needed
- Great communication skills and a nurturing, professional approach to care
- Confidence in planning, observing, and documenting children’s learning
- A sense of fun, creativity, and commitment to supporting every child’s unique journey
Why Join This Nursery?
This is more than just a job — it's a chance to be part of a close-knit, passionate team that truly cares. The nursery offers an environment where staff are supported, appreciated, and encouraged to develop their careers while making a difference every day.
Benefits include:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
- On-demand access to your pay when you need it
- A wellbeing and lifestyle benefits package
- Reward & Recognition programmes
- Discounted childcare
- Free enhanced DBS check
- Full training and ongoing professional development
- Onsite parking
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe and valued
- Planning and delivering rich, play-based learning experiences
- Supporting children’s emotional, physical, and social development
- Working closely with parents to build strong, trusting relationships
- Observing and assessing children’s progress and planning next steps
- Encouraging independence, creativity, and a love of learning
- Supporting room leaders and the management team with daily routines and activities
