Deputy Nursery Room Leader (Toddler Room)

Full-Time Hours | All year round
Salary: £27,000

 

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Nursery Room Leader to join our client’s team in the Toddler Room. This role is ideal for an experienced early years professional looking to step into a leadership position, supporting the Room Leader in delivering high-quality care and education to toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

 

Our client’s nursery provides a warm and welcoming ‘home from home’ setting, where toddlers are encouraged to develop their independence, confidence, and curiosity through play-based learning. If you have a strong understanding of toddler development and the ability to lead and inspire a team, we would love to hear from you!

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of child development, particularly in children aged 2-3 years.
  • Experience in leading or supporting a team within an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for early years education, with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Room Leader in overseeing the daily running of the Toddler Room, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that encourages toddlers' development through play and exploration.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support toddlers' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using insights to tailor individual learning experiences.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursery practitioners, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and development.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines are followed at all times.
