Our client, a leading provider of rehabilitation and care for individuals with complex mental health needs, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Hospital Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Hospital Manager to ensure the hospital consistently delivers the highest standards in patient care, operational performance, and service quality. Your leadership will be vital in overseeing daily operations, optimizing resources, and nurturing a compassionate, patient-centred environment.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and experienced leader with an in-depth understanding of mental health care and a strong commitment to advancing patient outcomes. You bring proven expertise in managing complex healthcare settings, as well as excellent strategic and operational skills that support continuous improvement and exceptional care.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualification: Valid NMC PIN and qualification as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD).
- Management Experience: Proven track record in a management role within a mental health hospital/setting, such as Ward Manager or Deputy Hospital Director.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Care Quality Commission standards, inspection processes, and experience implementing practice improvements based on feedback.
- Commitment to Quality Care: A passion for delivering outstanding clinical quality and advancing patient care through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that high-quality mental health services are consistently delivered.
- Supporting Hospital Mission and Vision: Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to implement and advance the hospital’s objectives.
- Building Strategic Partnerships: Lead initiatives to develop and strengthen relationships with purchasers and referrers, identifying new growth opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold the hospital’s compliance with Care Quality Commission standards, regulatory guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Strategic Development: Contribute to strategic development initiatives aligned with the hospital’s business plan and long-term goals.
- Patient Safety and Advocacy: Safeguard the dignity, respect, and welfare of all patients, fostering a culture of positive risk management.
