Hourly Rate: £24.50
Full-time - includes clinical lead and supernumerary hours with on call rota
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Deputy Nurse Manager to join our client’s nursing home team. In this role, you will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to their elderly residents.
What We’re Looking For
- Current RGN (Registered General Nurse) registration with relevant nursing experience in elderly care
- Proven experience in a deputy manager or supervisory role within a nursing home setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, particularly in the context of elderly care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while focusing on elderly care needs
- Sound knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care for the elderly
- Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in elderly care

Responsibilities
- Assist the clinical manager in daily operations and management of the clinical team within the nursing home
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff in caring for elderly residents
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in elderly care
- Perform supervisions and appraisals for nursing staff, focusing on elderly care skills and empathy
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of elderly residents
- Monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care, infection control, and health and safety protocols tailored to elderly care
- Support staff development and training initiatives focused on elderly care
- Act as a role model and mentor for the nursing team in their care for elderly residents
