Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN)

Hourly Rate: From £20, depending on experience

Day Shifts 

Full-Time – 40 hours per week

As a Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care older adults residents with a primary focus on general nursing and palliative care. Your responsibilities will include delivering personalised care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, assessing patient progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) Qualification: Nursing qualification (RGN), with a calid UK NMC Pin.
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in general nursing and palliative care, specifically with adult and older adult patient populations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Organisational and Multitasking Abilities: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple patient needs efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a supportive and respectful care environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to each patient's unique needs, addressing physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Care Planning and Collaboration: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient-centred care.
  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments of patient progress, promptly communicating any changes or concerns to the relevant team members.
  • Patient and Family Education: Provide guidance and education to patients and their families, covering health conditions, self-care techniques, and ongoing support options.
  • Safety and Quality Standards: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring that patients receive care that meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
