Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN)

£20 per hour + paid breaks

Full-time, up to 48 hours per week
Rotation of Day and Night shifts (06:45 - 19:00 & 18:45 - 07:00)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our client’s team in providing high-quality care to older adults. Set in a peaceful market town with beautiful surroundings, our client’s nursing home is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of their residents. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in nursing care, have strong communication and organisational skills, and work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

 

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN): Current registration with a valid RGN or RMN qualification, with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Clinical Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing practices, including medication administration and wound care.
  • Empathy and Communication: Ability to connect with residents, families, and the care team, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time-management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Patient-Centred Care: Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in caring for older adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Nursing Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, following established procedures and best practices.
  • Medication and Treatment Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Health Assessment and Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor residents’ health, collaborating with the care team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Resident Advocacy: Communicate clearly with residents, families, and colleagues, advocating for residents' needs and preferences.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of nursing assessments, care plans, and residents' medical records.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
