Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Day Shift
Hours: 36 hours per week, alternate weekends
Rate of Pay: £21.50 per hour
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a day shift basis. In this important role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and dignity at all times. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, delivering person-centered care and supporting our residents’ individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in line with the individual care plans of each resident, ensuring their personal, physical, and emotional needs are met.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team, ensuring correct dosage and timing.
- Monitor and record vital signs and medical conditions, keeping accurate, up-to-date resident records in accordance with care plans and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, other nurses, and support staff, to deliver holistic care that prioritizes the well-being of residents.
- Support and educate residents and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatments, and overall care, ensuring they are well-informed and supported in making decisions.
- Adhere to healthcare regulations and protocols, ensuring compliance with all industry standards, including infection control, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
- Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions, updating your clinical skills, and staying informed about the latest nursing practices and healthcare guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with valid certification from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Prior experience as a registered nurse in a nursing home or care setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in nursing best practices, including wound care, medication administration, and palliative care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional care.
- A commitment to person-centered care, ensuring each resident's dignity, autonomy, and well-being is maintained at all times.
- Adherence to healthcare regulations and an understanding of relevant legal and ethical standards within the healthcare sector.
