Registered Nurse (Staff Nurse)
Location: Maldon, Essex
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Hourly Rate: £22.00 per hour
Overview
A well-established care home in Maldon, Essex, is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join their healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to residents, including those living with dementia and requiring general nursing support. You’ll work as part of a motivated team to ensure a nurturing and supportive environment for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical exams and health assessments for residents
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans
- Monitor patient progress and update medical records regularly
- Provide emotional support and guidance to residents and their families
- Promote a positive, compassionate, and person-centred care environment
- Assist with ongoing validation and training processes
Qualifications
- Valid nursing licence (NMC registered)
- Proven experience as a Staff Nurse or in a similar role (care home experience preferred, but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and caring attitude toward residents
- Due to the rural location, own transport is required
Day-to-Day Duties
Each day, you will work closely with residents to provide medical care, administer treatments, and monitor their progress. You’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and execute individual care plans and maintain accurate medical records. You will also offer emotional support to both residents and their families.
