Senior Nursery Practitioner
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £28,000

 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our client's dynamic team. If you are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education to young children and have a natural ability to lead and inspire others, we want to hear from you!


As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding their nursery practitioners, ensuring every child receives the best possible start in life. You will work across various age groups, each room designed to foster development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 in Early Years or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Practitioner, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of nursery practitioners, offering support and guidance to enhance their professional growth.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and hygienic environment for the children to thrive in.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, maintaining open lines of communication and partnership.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and tailored support where needed.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety regulations, ensuring a secure environment for everyone.
