Registered Home Manager (Children’s Service)

Salary: Up to £45,000

 

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Children’s Home Manager to lead a dedicated team in creating a safe and supportive environment for children with emotional and behavioural disorders. As the Children’s Home Manager, you will take on a pivotal leadership role, ensuring children receive high-quality care that supports their growth and emotional well-being. You’ll lead by example, providing guidance to your team and overseeing all aspects of the home’s operations.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications: Level 5 qualification in Children, Young People, and Family Practitioner.
  • Experience: You bring at least 2 years of experience working in a children’s home, including experience in a Deputy Home Manager or Registered Home Manager role.
  • Leadership Qualities: You have the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team effectively.
  • Essential Requirement: A valid UK driving license.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and Motivate: Guide your team to provide exceptional care and support to children, ensuring each child’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met.
  • Promote Therapeutic Practices: Oversee and implement tailored therapeutic interventions, working closely with external professionals to ensure every child’s individual needs are addressed.
  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure the home operates in compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted and safeguarding protocols, delivering exceptional care at all times.
  • Create a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Build and maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment where children feel secure, valued, and empowered to thrive.
  • Team Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the home.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and holistic support for the children in your care.
