Rate of Pay: £40,000
37.5 hours a week (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday)
Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join their team. In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality care and support to patients, ensuring that all assessments and treatments are aligned with the clinical ethos of the unit. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals in need.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care. They will demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and external services while maintaining a focus on professional standards and patient well-being.
Qualifications:
- A valid Social Work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, MA in Social Work)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably with mental health patients
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and social care frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Care and Treatment Delivery: Ensure that all care, assessments, and treatments are delivered in accordance with the clinical ethos of the unit, promoting the highest standards of practice.
- Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with patients' families, friends, and external services, including care coordinators, care commissioning groups, and third-sector organizations such as MIND charity.
- Quality of Care: Ensure that the social care provided to patients is consistently of the highest standard, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other professional staff to ensure a consistent pattern of care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Professional Standards: Establish and uphold high standards of professional practice and levels of care within the unit.
- Patient Transitions: Facilitate the sensitive organization of patient admissions, leaves, and discharges, ensuring minimal disruption and supporting a smooth transition.
