Nursery Chef

Salary: Up to £27,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you a creative and passionate chef with a love for cooking nutritious meals for children? We are looking for a Nursery Chef to join our team, preparing healthy and delicious meals that support the growth and development of young children.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of childhood nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Creativity and passion for preparing engaging, nutritious meals for young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Food handling certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals tailored to children's dietary needs, including allergies.
• Create age-appropriate menus that are both appealing and enjoyable for young children.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Work closely with nursery staff to meet the nutritional needs of all children.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Engage with children during mealtimes to encourage healthy eating habits.
