Salary: Up to £31,000
45 hours per week
We are looking for a talented and passionate Nursery Chef to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in creating nutritious and delicious meals for young children in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.

- Culinary Experience – Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a childcare, school, or educational setting.
- Nutritional Knowledge – Understanding of early childhood nutrition and the ability to create well-balanced meals.
- Dietary Awareness – Knowledge of food allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements, with the ability to accommodate individual needs.
- Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with young children and staff.
- Food Safety Certification – A valid food hygiene and safety certification is essential.

Responsibilities
- Healthy Meal Preparation – Plan, prepare, and serve balanced and nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring they meet dietary requirements and health guidelines.
- Kitchen & Hygiene Standards – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and dining area, following all food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Menu Collaboration – Work closely with the nursery team to create diverse and inclusive menus, catering to children with dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Encouraging Healthy Eating – Engage with children during mealtimes, promoting positive eating habits and a love for healthy food.
- Nutritional Knowledge – Stay up to date with the latest nutritional guidelines and best practices in early childhood nutrition.
- Welcoming Environment – Foster a warm and inclusive atmosphere in the kitchen and dining area, ensuring mealtimes are enjoyable for all children.
