Nursery Practitioner – Lunch Cover

Hourly Rate: £12.25
Monday to Friday, 10:30 am – 2:30 pm (20 hours per week)

Our client, a nurturing and friendly nursery set in a beautifully renovated Victorian building, is looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for Lunch Cover. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking part-time work, where you will be responsible for providing quality care and support to children aged 3 months to 5 years during lunch hours.

The nursery is committed to offering a safe and stimulating environment, with access to a sensory room and soft play area, ensuring children have a wonderful experience throughout the day. What We’re Looking For

• Early Years Qualification: Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years (essential).
• Experience: Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Knowledge of EYFS: Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its importance in children’s development.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Caring Approach: A friendly, patient, and caring attitude, with a passion for supporting children’s development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lunch Supervision: Ensure a safe, calm, and enjoyable lunchtime environment for the children.
• Care Support: Assist children with their meals, supporting their social and emotional development.
• Activity Engagement: Provide a variety of stimulating activities during the lunch break to promote engagement and learning.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other team members to ensure children’s well-being is always prioritised.
• Building Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
